Super Confex–Kwantum was one of the most recognizable Dutch squads of the late 1980s, their vivid lime green kit cutting a striking figure through the peloton at a time when Dutch cycling was thriving. Backed by the Kwantum home furnishings chain and the Super Confex packaging company, the team served as a launchpad for the great Jean-Paul van Poppel, whose explosive sprint finishes brought stage victories at the Tour de France and Vuelta a España. The bold green-and-white color scheme became synonymous with aggressive, attacking racing on the flat roads of the classics and the chaotic final kilometers of grand tour sprints. Under the tactical guidance of directeur sportif Jan Raas — himself a legendary former rider — the squad punched well above its weight against better-funded rivals. This set faithfully captures the electric energy of that era, a tribute to a team that embodied the fearless, no-nonsense spirit of Dutch professional cycling.
