Gazzola was a proud Italian squad that left its mark on professional cycling during the late 1950s and early 1960s, a golden age when the sport was woven into the very fabric of Italian daily life. Sponsored by the Gazzola salumi company from Collecchio near Parma, the team attracted serious talent, most notably the Belgian powerhouse Rik Van Looy, who rode under these colours during some of his most dominant years. Van Looy claimed a remarkable World Championship road race title in 1960 while wearing the Gazzola jersey, cementing the team's place in cycling lore forever. The bold red lettering set against crisp blue and red stripes captures the unmistakable flair of Italian design, a look that turned heads in the peloton and still does on any road today. Wearing this jersey is a tribute to an era when small-town sponsors could field world-beating teams and when style was as important as speed.
