The bridge graphic pays homage to the Brooklyn Bridge and the transatlantic connection between the American chewing gum brand and its Italian-based racing team, a partnership that felt exotic and cosmopolitan in an era when cycling was still deeply European. The multicoloured sleeve bands and Italian tricolore on the chest recall the squad's proud Italian registration and the Giro stages and national championships contested in these colours.
