R.M.O Travail Temporaire burst onto the professional peloton in the late 1980s and quickly became one of the most recognizable squads in French cycling, thanks in no small part to their wonderfully bold kit. The abstract brushstroke design in vivid red, blue, and green was unlike anything else in the bunch, a jersey that looked as much like modern art as it did sportswear. Under the leadership of riders like Charly Mottet and later Marc Madiot, R.M.O animated countless stages of the Tour de France and the French classics, riding with a panache that matched their flamboyant colours.
