Pelforth–Sauvage–Lejeune was one of the great French squads of the 1960s, fueled by the sponsorship of the beloved Pelforth brewery from northern France and Lejeune bicycles. The team became synonymous with panache and Gallic flair, with riders like Jan Janssen — who would go on to win the 1968 Tour de France — wearing these bold yellow, white, and blue colours through the mountains and across the cobbles.
