The iconic multicolored cube design became synonymous with an era when team budgets were lavish and ambitions even larger, culminating in that unforgettable 1-2-3 finish at Paris–Roubaix in 1996. This particular iteration pays tribute to the Mapei-Latexco partnership of the early 2000s, when the Belgian mattress manufacturer joined forces with the Italian giant to field one of cycling's last great superteams.
