Del Tongo–MG Maglificio was one of the most recognizable Italian squads of the 1980s, powered by the fierce climbing talent of Giuseppe Saronni and later the indomitable Francesco Moser. Sponsored by the Tuscan kitchen manufacturer Del Tongo, the team's bold pink, black, and green livery became a fixture on the roads of the Giro d'Italia and the great Italian classics throughout the decade.
