Cilo-Aufina was a proud Swiss cycling team that carried the spirit of precision and craftsmanship synonymous with its home nation throughout the late 1970s and 1980s. Backed by the Cilo bicycle manufacturer and Aufina financial group, the squad became a familiar presence at the Tour de Suisse and across the European peloton, nurturing homegrown Swiss talent alongside ambitious international riders. The striking red, white, and gray livery echoed the Swiss national colors and gave the team an unmistakable identity on mountain passes and city-centre criteriums alike. Among its most celebrated riders was Beat Breu, the fearless climber who electrified fans with his aggressive mountain attacks at the Tour de France.
