Alfa Lum–Legnano was a proud Italian squad that raced through the mid-1980s, carrying forward the legendary Legnano name that had graced professional cycling since the early twentieth century. The original Legnano marque was synonymous with Italian grit and Giro d'Italia glory, with icons like Gino Bartali and Fausto Coppi once wearing its famous green jersey in the post-war years. By the time Alfa Lum took over sponsorship, the team blended that storied heritage with the flashy, sponsor-laden aesthetic of 1980s European racing. This green edition pays homage to the classic Legnano colorway, a shade that became as recognizable in the peloton as the rolling Tuscan hills that shaped so many of its riders.
