TI-Raleigh was one of the most dominant and visually striking squads of the late 1970s and early 1980s, bankrolled by the Dutch TI conglomerate and built around the legendary Raleigh bicycle brand. Under the tactical genius of team director Peter Post, the squad became a powerhouse in the Spring Classics and stage races, with riders like Jan Raas, Gerrie Knetemann, and the incomparable Joop Zoetemelk delivering victories at the highest level. Zoetemelk's long-awaited Tour de France triumph in 1980 remains one of the most emotionally charged moments in the race's history, clinched in the unmistakable red and yellow livery that blazed through the peloton like a flame. The bold colorway, inspired by the TI corporate identity, became synonymous with aggressive Dutch racing and an era when team unity and sheer willpower could bend a race to breaking point.
