By the early 1970s, Gimondi had cemented his place among the all-time greats, battling fiercely against Eddy Merckx in a rivalry that defined an era. The iconic rainbow stripes adorning this white jersey nod to the world champion's bands, a fitting tribute to a team that consistently graced the sport's grandest stages.
