De Retro fietstrui van Puch Wolber herinnert aan een van de meest opvallende kleurencombinaties in het profpeloton. De Oostenrijks-Franse alliantie tussen fietsenfabrikant Puch en bandenspecialist Wolber leverde een ploeg op die hoofden deed omdraaien bij elke Grand Tour-start. Puch and Wolber came together in the early 1980s to form one of the most visually striking squads in the professional peloton, their bold green and red livery cutting through the dust of Belgian classics and Alpine switchbacks alike. The Austrian bicycle manufacturer Puch brought engineering pedigree stretching back to 1899, while French tyre maker Wolber supplied the rubber that kept the team rolling across cobblestones and tarmac with equal confidence. Under the guidance of directeur sportif Peter Post, the team attracted hardened riders who thrived in the gruelling one-day races of northern Europe. The jersey's vivid vertical stripes became an unmistakable flash of colour in the bunch, a design so confident it needed no subtlety.
