De Formaggio Primavera Retro Cycling Jersey uit 1972 herinnerde aan de gouden eeuw van het Italiaanse amateurwielrennen, toen regionale ploegen zonovergoten voorjaarsklassiekers reden op smalle provinciale wegen. Based out of a small caseificio in the Veneto, the team was backed by a local cheese producer whose passion for cycling matched his passion for aged provolone. The 1972 season was their finest hour, with a string of spirited performances across regional spring races — the primavera classics — that earned them a devoted following among tifosi who loved an underdog. The bold blue and white horizontal stripes became an instantly recognisable sight in the peloton, a flash of colour that signalled grit, camaraderie, and pure Italian style.
