Sem-France Loire was a proud French professional cycling team that carved its name into the peloton throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, backed by the legendary Cycles France-Loire bicycle manufacturer based in Saint-Étienne. Under the guidance of directeur sportif Jean de Gribaldy, the squad nurtured fierce talents including Sean Kelly, who honed his early career in these distinctive tricolour stripes before becoming one of the sport's all-time greats. The bold vertical red and green bands on a crisp white canvas echoed both the French passion for elegant design and the industrial heritage of the Loire valley's storied bicycle workshops.
