Super U–Raleigh burst onto the professional pelopone in the late 1980s as a Franco-British alliance that brought together the grocery giant's bold branding with Raleigh's storied bicycle heritage. The 1989 season was a landmark year for the squad, racing through a Tour de France widely regarded as the most dramatic in history — the edition decided by eight seconds between Laurent Fignon and Greg LeMond on the Champs-Élysées. With its striking red and white U logos set against sweeping curves of yellow, black, and tricolore accents, the jersey captured the flamboyant confidence of late-eighties cycling style. Riders like Laurent Fignon himself had connections to the Super U setup, cementing the team's place in French cycling lore. Wearing this kit is a tribute to an era when sponsorship was colourful, racing was fearless, and every stage could rewrite the history books.
