Motorola's cycling team burst onto the professional scene in the early 1990s, bringing American flair and corporate ambition to the European peloton in an era when US teams were still proving they belonged. Under the guidance of Jim Ochowicz, the squad nurtured some of the most exciting talents of the decade, including a young Lance Armstrong, who claimed a stunning stage victory at the 1993 Tour de France while wearing these very colours. The bold geometric pattern of red, white, and blue became instantly recognisable in the bunch, a vivid expression of stateside confidence against the backdrop of traditional European racing. Kellogg's and other co-sponsors added to the distinctly transatlantic character of a jersey that bridged two cycling worlds. Wearing this kit is a nod to that thrilling period when American cycling was forging its identity on the grandest stages in the sport.
