Del Tongo–Colnago was one of the most visually striking Italian squads of the 1980s, backed by the famous Tuscan kitchen manufacturer and riding the legendary frames of Ernesto Colnago. Under the direction of team manager Pietro Algeri, the squad boasted the fierce talents of Giuseppe Saronni, who had already claimed the world championship rainbow jersey in a memorable sprint finish at Goodwood in 1982. The rainbow-striped accents on this kit pay direct homage to that glorious palmares, blending world champion colours with the clean white canvas that made del Tongo instantly recognisable in the peloton.
