Das Retro-Radtrikot Groene Leeuw von Wiel's ist eine Hommage an eine der berühmtesten belgischen Radsportmannschaften der Nachkriegszeit. Unterstützt von der geliebten Wiel's-Brauerei und ihrem kultigen "Green Lion"-Bier wurde das Team zu einer festen Größe bei den Kopfsteinpflaster-Klassikern und den großen Rundfahrten der damaligen Zeit. Die Fahrer trugen diese unverwechselbare tiefgrüne Farbe mit Stolz in den Kerngebieten Flanderns und darüber hinaus, angefeuert von begeisterten Zuschauern am Straßenrand und bei kaltem Wetter.

Wiel's Groene Leeuw war eine beliebte belgische Radsportmannschaft der 1960er-Jahre, unterstützt von der berühmten Brauerei Wiel's und der Marke Groene Leeuw (Grüner Löwe), die ein fester Bestandteil der Café-Kultur in ganz Flandern war. Die Mannschaft trug das unverkennbare tiefe Grün ihres Sponsors durch die Kernlande des belgischen Radsports und kämpfte sich über Kopfsteinpflaster und Berge bei den Frühjahrsklassikern, die eine ganze Ära prägten. Die Fahrer trugen diese Farben mit glühendem Stolz, angetrieben von den tosenden Zuschauermassen, die die Straßenränder von Gent bis Brüssel säumten. Die markanten roten und gelben Brustbänder verweisen auf die belgische Trikolore und verankern das Trikot fest in der reichen Radsporttradition des Landes.
