Das Ggofo Retro Kurzarmtrikot orientiert sich am goldenen Zeitalter des italienischen Profi-Radsports, als Fahrer von der Halbinsel die großen Rundfahrten und die Eintages-Klassiker mit einem Flair dominierten, das ihrer Geschwindigkeit in nichts nachstand. In den späten 1950er-Jahren und während der gesamten Sechziger wurde der italienische Radsport von erbitterten Rivalitäten, sonnenversengten Bergstraßen und Trikots geprägt, die in den kräftigen Farben ihrer nationalen Sponsoren mit unverkennbarem Stolz erstrahlen. Ggofo blickte bei der Gestaltung dieses Stücks genau auf jene Epoche zurück und entnahm die ikonische grün-weiß-rote Farbpalette direkt der italienischen Trikolore, um sie in breiten, selbstbewussten Streifen über die Brust zu legen, die an die Ästhetik historischer Rennfotografie erinnern.

Das Trikot selbst ist eine Verbeugung vor der Ära, als Wolle das Maß aller Dinge war und Sponsorenlogos in schlichten, grafischen Blöcken aufgedruckt wurden, statt in den digital gerenderten Flickenteppichen moderner Peloton-Outfits.
